Reloading .40's. Cost?

So, my uncle reloads 45's which he shoots everyday. I've got an m&p .40 that he is going to start reloading for me. What is the cost to reload per round for 40's? (assuming i already have the brass) He says it costs him around 10 cents per round to reload for the 45. Any ideas for the 40? After looking at prices online for primers, powder, and fmj bullets, I was coming up with 20 cents per round. Does this sound right?

hello

Well for me in my expirience here are the prices:

bullets: plated 165 grain 10/100
powder:rex II 4.9 grains ~1/100
primers:whatever kind 2.50/100

So that is a total of 13.50/100 which would be 13.5 cents per round.

That is just the cheapest combonation that I have.
You could go cheaper if you want to use lead bullets, but mine are for a glock so i dont want to risk anything.

I have been able to reload 40S&W for .10 per round. My advantage is I had supplies stocked up. My last gun show attended primers ( Winnchesters ) were selling for $44.00 per 1k.
For my cost of .10 per rnd. primers-$26.00 per 1k, powder-$16.25 per lb. lead cast bullets $56 per 1k.= . Again these are ALL older prices. I had extra money and purchased primers bullets and powder. Now as far as bullets go I'm in the same boat as everyone else. out of them so when I buy more I'll have a higher reloading cost per round. To help you figure powder there is 7000 grains of powder per pound. And to answer your question as far as cost per round it all depends on what youhave to pay for bullets, powder, and primers. No matter how you shake the tree it's still cheaper to reload.

yeah i can't wait to start reloading.....once i find some material at a decent price. i might just have to hang out and wait for everything to eventually die down and supplies to creep back up.
