Savage/Springfield 187N
I have one of these and it does not feed the rounds from the lifter. Unfortunately someone took it apart, and judjing by the chewed up slots on the screws (all screws on the gun) they were not well versed in the correct use of, well tools. The lifter seems to function great dry, but drop some LR into the mag and it doesn't let them enter the lifter track all the way, I have to pull the lifter down, then push it up to get the ammo to enter so the bolt and drive it home, and then sometimes it noses up, not allowing the rim to leave the liter assmebly. I have read the horror stories and realize that these were POS, but it worked before said idiot took it apart, not it's a real POS. I can't find a schematic either, anyone have one they could post?
Thanks for the help in advance! Bobthewelder |
