can i accept a yugu sks from a non C and R?

so on another board im looking at a yugo sks thats in a Tapco compliance stock kit.

Would i be able to accept a shipment from him if does not have a C and R?

with a tapco stock I do not believe it is C&R eligible. SO I would say no. Even if he had a C&R you could not.

so what if he put the gun back in the original stock, and then shipped the tapco with it?

As long as it is in it's original configuration it's OK. You could even recieve the yugo in the same box as the tapco stock as long the rifle isn't installed in the stock. I've recieved many rifles this way from many different wholesalers. He doesn't need an FFL of any kind to ship, you only need one to recieve firearms.

It MUST be in the original configuration to be considered a C&R. Not a compliance kit, not a Tapco stock, it has to be the exact configuration as it was originally used.

you can't hacksaw off the bayo lug or anything either.

Yes same box with stock is ok. Pretty dumb, but that is the way it is.

yeah other than putting back the original stock you will want to get hime to send you a photocopy of his drivers license for you to keep in your bound book. I just went over this with the BATF while helping out a friend who sold a modern gun (weatherby vanguard to be exact) and mailed it to the 01 FFL. The FFL flipped out and reported him to the BATF, etc.. etc... rampant threats, etc... etc.. the buy was scared silly, but since I am one who has read the BATF reg book that they send out with each 01 and 03 license I knew that he had nothing to worry about and that the 01 dealer was just ignorant of the rules. BATF confirmed that a non licensee can ship to a licensee. For your own books I recommend the Drivers license part so you can say and show exactly who the person is you are receiving the gun from .
