Bullet selection with high BCs

I'm new to the whole handloading and ballistics game, but what I seem to see so far is that a higher BC = a bullet that will retain its velocity better at extended ranges and travel with a flatter path.

Assuming I am correct in this, can anyone tell me what some bullets with very high BCs are. I'm looking at 2 bullet diameters, 30cal (300win, 308, 300RUM) and 7mm (7mm mag, 7mmRUM)

Which of the two has better selection in terms of available bullets or bullets with high BCs and are any of these high BC bullets suitable for hunting or are there ONLY target/varmint rounds with the highest BCs?

There will be more hi B.C. .30's than about anything else, but they will mainly be target bullets with thin skins and hollow points that are just an artifact of the forming process and that are too small to initiate expansion. If you want high BC hunting bullets, you should look at the Hornady, and Sierra and other bullet maker web sites that give b.c.'s and just jot down a list of what you see available
