Box of truth, rifled barrels, and buck shot
http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot43_2.htm
This has been brought up several times here and no one, myself included, ever put together and published a decent test to confirm. The rifled choke does seem to expand the pattern significantly. |

As I read that test shot it is with a rifled barrel and not a rifled choke.

TKM, my friend, some learn by the experiences of others, and some don't. We've heard, ad nauseum, recommendations that rifled shotgun barrels are intended specifically for sabot-type slugs. Yet, there are still folks who want to try something else.

I'm guilty, too. I spent many years practicing the same mistakes before I saw a faint glimmer of light. Perhaps we do acquire a pinch of wisdom as our beards turn to white.

My beard began to whiten when I was in school and I am still as dumb as ever.
