chamber size question
in a 410 over and under style with a 3 inch chamber. is it still safe to shoot 2 1/2 inch shells. I know i can put different chamber sizes in some 12 & 20 guage pumps but i just wanted to make sure the same rule applys here before i shoot it.

Yes Mike, you are correct. Chambers in .410 work the same as other scatterguns.
Seems like .410 ammo is getting scarce as hen's teeth, and becoming a bit expensive, hope you have a supply. Good Luck & Be Safe

Yes, like Bob said.
.410 ammo in western WA is not a problem - but I'm talking 9's or 8 1/2's for Skeet, hunting birds, etc ( but I reload the .410 as well )... Locally I did notice that Sportsman's Warehouse had very little of any kind of ammo - shotshells, handgun, etc / but Cabellas had everything in stock in large quantities. |

thanks guys for the info...i wanted to start shooting the 410 just cause is the only thing i can find shells easy and decent priced.... a 20 pack for 7 dollars isnt that bad i guess. pluss i figured its best to practice with vs the 12.
