My son purchased a NEF .223 rifle. With factory ammo the primer flows back into the firing pin tunnel and must be sheared off in order to open the action. What is causing this?

REast, there could be a couple of reasons for this. Usually it's due to an oversize firing pin hole or a weak firing pin spring. I'd send it back to the factory. George
