smith and wesson 1500

A fellow at work's daughter has a smith and wesson 1500 308win. She has to sell it and I have a nice that needs a hunting rifle. Can anyone tell me about this gun? Quality, who makes it?

I would say if the price is right, get it. From what I am seeing its considered a moderately rare rifle. Only imported into the united states for 2 years.

This guy seems helpful, talking about the .223 chambering of it. Made in japan by Howa. Imported into the united states for 2 years by smith and Wesson.

Probably a fantastic rifle.

The guy mentions something about smith and wesson doing a recall involving the bolt sleeve. You might want to look more into that.

$200-500 dollars

On the lower end if it falls under the recall about the bolt sleeve. Apparently if you take it apart and put it back together wrong, the gun might go off if you close the bolt.
