What I don't understand is that I have a NIB Uberti from Taylors never fired etc. Everyone wants 305 for them--I have had it offered on B/sell thread for less than $280.00. No offers came!? Uberti-steel frame-round trigger guard.

1851 Uberti... Nice Pistol

I've got one of those.

I've got what I consider to be a good start for a collector of Black Powder revolvers.

Two 1851 Navy's, a brass CVA and a steel Uberti (both 36's)
A Pietta 1858
Two Pietta 1860's, one brass and one steel
An ASM Second Dragoon (fully engraved)
A Ruger Old Army (vintage 1975)

My 1851 Uberti will outshoot the rest, and by no small margin. The lockup on that gun is really tight, that's probably why it shoots so well... that and it feels SO good in your hand and points SO SWEET... my 1860's feel real good in the hand too, but so far they don't shoot like that Uberti Navy.

Maybe I just got lucky. I've got no trouble regularly hitting clay pigeons at 25 yards.

I bought the Uberti used at a local shop for $149 out the door... what a steal.

All of my guns have been bargains in one way or another, don't be shy about shopping around... I bought the engraved Dragoon with a display box, flask and bullet mold for $249 and I just waltzed home from a gun show a month and a half ago with the Ruger Old Army for $295.

I've got hope that I can learn the Ruger and eventually shoot it as well as the Uberti... but so far, no soup.

I agree with you...

...You do have a nice start to a collection.

I also admire your efforts to find the best deal you can.

Hardy if I had the money I'd take it off your hands.
