I have a Russian Moisin Nagant carbine that I recently sporterized. I've tried some of the Russian "hunting" ammo and find that it isn't all that accurate.

Beisdes, I feel that the 200 gr. and 204 gr. loadings in this Russian stuff is most likely too heavy for this cartridge. I'm looking for data on 150 gr. or, at most, 180 gr. loads.

Does anyone out there reload this round?

Use the technique I outlined on the 44 AutoMag thread and others. Go to Shooter's Gunlinks: http://www.shooters.com/gunlinks/index.htm

Then search the various powder makers, such as Alliant, Accurate Arms, Hodgdon, Winchester, V V, etc. You should find numerous loads for this caliber. Walt
