Beretta 90-Two grips

I just bought my second Beretta, first 90 Two in .40 Cal.
I agree with everyone about the slickness of the grips, IMO they are not much different than 100 other polymer pistols. I have a lot of pistols, mostly metal frames with variations of factory and aftermarket grips, it is terribly important to me that first the pistol fit the hand and second it FEEL like you can hold it in any weather with wet cold hands. Even my target .22 which will never see wet or cold seems to stick right to my palm (I have big meaty hands, I have to buy extra links for my watches). I think this is the one mistake Beretta made on the 90Two. I like the idea of a couple of you guys that put traction tape on the grip areas that are textured.

I have what I think is a better idea, I will grind down or cut out the textured areas and "over mold" them with a black or grey silicone rubber. I will be experimenting with my own pistol in the next few weeks and will keep you posted.

Assuming I have great success who's interested in a set?

If my LGS actually gets in the 90-two they keep swearing up and down that they're getting in, then I would be. But they've been swearing to me and a few others that they're getting at least three in for the last 7 months.

Let us know how it comes out. I owned two over the years and sold them both because of the horrible grip.
