SO.....Wouldn't it have been born a .22 conversion and grown up to be a .40, eventually???

I encountered a similar problem with a pair of broken 12 ga. rabbit-eared guns...

I took the one to get it "fixed" and felt safe in storing them together. But apparently, the procedure didn't take and doing what rabbit guns do, I ended up with a whole safe full of .410's....

darn guns

I had to give my guns saltpeter, the safe was full and no money to by a new safe. All the money went to feed the darn guns.
