Need help reloading for Tikka t 3 lite 22/250
Hi great site. I have a new Tikka I have bullets on hand nosler 40gr 50gr and 55gr BT and 50gr v max and 55gr too and 50gr SPSX bullets. I have varget and imr 3031 4350 and getting a can of imr 8028 asap. Win brass and primers. I tried 55gr BT didn't group that good. Will take any help ty again great forum. Hello everybody .

Go to handloads.com... there are at least 45 .22-250 loads listed, with accuracy notes on each.

I've had good luck with imr4064 and accurate 2230. 4350 is probably a bit slow for 22/250. Of the two, I'd start with 3031.

I run varget with a 50 gr. v-max in my howa with great results. My buddy also runs varget in his with a 40 gr. v-max and it shoots great.Both his and my rifle have 1 in 12 twist.

IMR4064 is what I use. Great velocity and case fill in the 22-250Rem.

Thanks I think my Tikka is 1 in 14 twist. I went to pick up the imr 8028 and the gun shop open today. 357 how much powder are u using.

with varget and a 50 gr. v-max I use 36.4 gr. of powder. Now in the hornady manual this load is a MAXIMUM LOAD. so start lower and work your way up to max. Every firearm is different and this load may be to hot for your rifle, and it may not be. My howa shows no signs of pressure and is a tack driver.

Thanks I have never reloaded any 50gr v max. I know alot of people use them on coyotes. Can't wait to try them out.
