Constructive Posession Law?
Is there such a law or is it just a term for doing something the BATFE doesnt like?

In a nut shell, "Constructive Possession" means you possess the parts necessary to assemble a firearm or other weapon that is illegal for you to possess.
One such example that has since been resolved was the lawsuit between Thompson Center and the ATF where the ATF claimed that T/C's selling of their contender firearms in a kit that included a rifle stock as well as a pistol stock and a pistol barrel amounted to "constructive possession" of an unlicensed short barreled rifle.
