I am not sure what your point is , but I have a .357Mag. For self defense I don't feel the need for 23" of penetration. I use 38Spl hollow points in it. On the other hand, If one goes camping, I don't think the 9X18 round will do much to a bear.

Get some Flitz and a Dremel with a polishing tip and polish the leading edge of the feed ramp. The lip of the hollow point is probably catching on the edge of the ramp.

I did that. Still had trouble. Just as well, though. After seeing the inadequate penetration and difficulty with clothing, I'd rather not carry this ammunition. I'll probably test some of the Hornady stuff soon.

I know this is a little off topic but,
if anyone is considering using a dremel Please go slow and careful, I,ve seen more gun barrels ruined by this tool than helped by it.
