Order of importance when culling rifle brass

When you buy a large batch of rifle brass, how do you begin to sort it and look for culls?

Do you consider weight or case concentricity to be the first step in culling cases? I typically start culling by weight. I guess if you had the time it would be best sort them by internal water capacity.

What do you consider the most important thing to look for when culling cases?

Neck splits and Bredan primers.

I don't cull for everything, my deer hunting is inside 150 yards so there's no point in it for that ammo.

I do cull for varminting ammo. First thing is to size and trim to length, deburr & turn/uniform necks, uniform primer pockets and deburr flash holes before weighing. Removing excess brass before weighing means that I'm weighing a potential keeper, there's not much point in weighing before all the other work is done Never thought of what is more or less important, if a case doesn't meet my criteria at any point, it gets culled.

Provided that it is new brass, I first size it, trim it to the longest SAAMI length, weigh, measure volume (I use a titrating burette and water, rather than fill and weigh full of water.)

I'm with Wncchester and Shoney...
First I sort by headstamp, if necessary, then FL Size and fully prep, inspect, tumble and inspect again, then cull. Once the variables (excess) are removed, weighing will be more accurate and informative.

I forgot to mention that I also deburr necks and flash holes.
