Repair Safariland Leather Holster
I have a couple of Safariland leather holsters with the rubber SST (Safariland Sight Track) stitched into the front. These holsters go back to the 1970's or 80's and were great and well-made, but the problem now is that the rubber is deteriorating and cracking and falling apart. Since they were stitched in, it would be difficult to replace. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is Safariland still in business? I'm thinking they were bought out by another company. Is there anything I can try on the rubber to preserve it or keep it from getting any worse?

They are still in business, so I guess you could contact them and see if they can help. If they don’t do repairs maybe they can provide the part. Then I guess you could try and locate a local leather-smith to do the repair.
I suspect it would be simpler to just buy new holsters, but it wouldn’t hurt to give them a call. http://www.safariland.com/Default.aspx
