cylinders loose?

Hey everybody, been messing around with my 36. cal pocket navy. I've noticed, well I should say I've known since I've purchased it, but I have not worried about it till now... But I have a little bit of cylinder movement when the revolver is fully cocked. You cant really see it with your eye but you can hear it when you move the cylinders back and forth (in its revolving motion, not back and forth.) I believe it's the sound of the catch underneath the cylinders that locks the cylinders in place for firing. My question is: Is this ok and normal? Or should I not bother firing this gun till a gunsmith looks at it for me? I've taken out the wedge before, and noticed if i drove the wedge in to far it eliminated the problem, but made cylinder rotation nearly impossible. I was able to find a happy balance, but It still makes the sound. Any thoughts?

A little play should be fine. The catch is called a cylinder stop and I think it's also referred to as the bolt.

That little bit as you describe is perfectly normal. I was wondering the same thing when I got my first remi (so they do it too) but the sucker is a tack driver.
