3D Blue Ammo ?

I was at a gun store today and saw a box of 3D Blue (I think that was the name) .45 auto 230gr. JHP 50rd box. Well since I have never heard of this ammo before I decided to do some research before buying.

All the guy behind the counter could tell me was " It looks old".
