I sometimes carry a Glock 22 in an IWB holster. I have a wide waist so keeping in concealed is not really that much of an issue as long as I have some type of cover garment. It stays in the safe most of the time these days, I more often carry an M&P 45c or my Sig P239. I still like the Glock, but my first shot is much more accurate with the M&P or Sig. Not sure why, really.

I used to carry a 26 and then a 36 but I've since gotten rid of them in favor of my old standby, a S&W 442 and a PM9. I also carry a Kimber Compact CDPII for a .45.
I always liked Glocks but I didn't care for these little ones. I have an old 17 and probably should have gone with a 19 for a carry piece but I like the three guns I carry now enough that Glocks are no longer on my radar. Great guns though. |

I'm really liking the poll results. The 19 and the 26 are neck and neck. For some reason I assumed the 19 would be in the lead by a long shot. Also surprised to see the high pressured rounds are being carried also. Let's add some EDC Glock pics? I'll add mine when I get home. |

I carry a Glock 19 using various methods. I load up with 147 gr. Gold Dots. The 19 is nice because it is small (and slim) enough to conceal, but it handles like a full size pistol. The ability to slap a 33 rd. magazine in at the range is a nice addition.

http://www.diffen.com/difference/.40_S%26W_vs_9mm Compared to .45 at 21,000 psi, and you can see there's a huge difference. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.45_ACP And really, the only low pressure rounds found in Glocks are .45 ACP and .45 GAP (at about 23,000 psi). .380 also fall into this category, but seeing as though they basically don't exist in the US, I don't really count it. http://www.speer-bullets.com/pdf/45G...ief_150dpi.pdf |

.357 Sig and 10mm are high pressure. I can't conceal a model 20 myself, but somebody pulls it off. A model 32 is about it for me. It's not that big of a stick, but it will do. In the wild, I open carry a model 20.

What Glock do you carry concealed?
Really? I was taught wrong then I guess...
I was referring to .40S&W, 10mm, and .357SIG. Standard pressure 9mm isn't matched up those. Apparently that's wrong? (Can't click on links now, on my phone) |

Yep, 9mm is right up there with the other so-called high pressure rounds. And when you bump a 9mm up to +P, you're looking at over 38,000 psi. So a standard defensive load for a 9mm is greater than a standard defensive load in .40. It's also higher than a standard 10mm load (just over 37,000 psi) but still lower than .357 SIG (40k psi).
I was going to add links, but that takes some time, and it's easily googled info. |

Pressure = Force/Area. Two things can have the same Pressure but different levels of Force. All I'm saying is don't confuse Pressure with Force. I do agree though that they produce roughly equivalent levels of pressure.

To be honest I expected the 19 to win. It's probably the most popular Glock.

I have been thinking about a G26 for work though. And my G19 for every other time...I wasn't bad at all when I had the G27. Uh-oh....... |

What Glock do you carry concealed?
IMHO the Glock 19 is the best pistol in the world to carry concealed, and I do.
To give a better idea as to high pressure, as in 9mm, if you look inside a 9mm case, with it's powder charge, and look were the bullet sits, right on the powder charge! I see my carry Glock 19Gen4, as a gun fighters gun, a bit late to start being one, when you get into your first gun fight, yes? Bare frame, no extra bits added to expand the grip. For that reason I have made my pistol the most easiest pistol to carry, draw, aim and fire. It is carried in a cut down modified Glock Sport? Holster, it weighs nothing, and conceals about the best of any holster I have carried on a belt. The 3.5 connector gives it around a 6lb? trigger pull, mix and match trigger bars (smooth triggers, not the ones with the lines it comes with) till you get the smoothest trigger release. TFO Green fiber optics, incredible, day or night. The magazine release, on the Gen 4s, digs in to your second finger, sharp knife, snip that corner off. The Glock trigger can be pushed sideways on a hasty/panicky draw, this can cause the trigger to seize up, with the trigger bar removed, trim the little bars that are on the center portion of the trigger, the little part that moves in. Using the Glock factory extended slide release (slide lock lever they call it) improves magazine changes, from lock back, also a couple of strokes with a fine file, just where the lever slides off the slide, on the lever, makes that job smoother. The gen4s have a great grip surface, the best ever. Carry a G17 mag as spare, Ranger T 147g hollow points, very accurate, recoil controllable. Use the same gun in IDPA, G License Security, and CCW. Love it. Last edited by Brit; April 11, 2013 at 07:02 AM. |

G26- Most concealable with just about anything I wear. Equipped with Trijicon RMR, suppressor sights, GAP magazine base plates, smooth faced trigger, extended slide stop lever, re-contoured trigger guard, 124 gr. +P Gold Dots. Holster is a Dale Fricke "Seraphim" kydex IWB-A.
Knife is a Phil Rose Thorn, flashlight is an Olight T10 Last edited by JN01; April 11, 2013 at 06:38 PM. |

The Glock 19 was my first choice when I started carrying a gun for myself again a few years back. It was concealable, but not too small, had a lot of rounds on hand and I could shoot it fast and accurately. I don't carry it much now; I've moved down to a Kahr CM9 for daily carry.

Re: What Glock do you carry concealed?
G33. Size and power. I can fit it in my pocket or owb. I can choose either my stock 9 round mag or my 9+2 mag.

The Glock I carry is a G27 in a medium Tommy's Original gun pack at 12 o'clock. A short mag in the gun, and a G22 mag with a x-grip adapter in the gunpack's extra pouch.
The short mag has a Pierce +1 base on it. Loaded with Speer 155 grain Gold Dots. Comfortable, discreet, reliable, quick access. I've tried all the other size Glock's, and this is the one I've chosen. I lose about 100 fps between the G22 and the G27, but the ME is still over 400 ft/lbs., and I feel the G27/155 GD team will do its part if I do mine. |
