A couple of things I have enjoyed for fun targets are eggs, and also old veggies, like a tomato, or spud.

The third row, red and yellow target. I crank out a bunch every time I'm left alone in the office with the color copier

I put together a stormtrooper silhouette targets for whenever I take my geek friends shooting.
http://ohbah.com/dir/stt.pdf Someday I'll get a broomhandle mauser just to use against these targets, and then my geek ascendancy will be complete.
