Printing problem in October 2002 issue
The October 2002 issue (Vol 21, #7) arrived in the mail today and has a page / binding screw up that probably affected other copies besides my own.
Sequence is P21, 22, 23, 24, 21, 22, 23, 24, 29 - 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 57, 58, 59, 60, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61. In short: pages 25-28 and 53-56 are missing, and there are duplicates for 21-24 and 57-60 are duplicated. -z |

This is the 3rd complaint of this type I've heard. Please HOLD that magazine. If this continues, it's gonna get real ugly. I'll be in touch by email to replace that. Rich Lucibella

OK-
I'm going to be emailing each of you a link to a simple contact form. Once submitted it'll allow us to track this and quickly replace your issues. Additionally, we'll be offering an extension of 1 month for your inconvenience and the expense of returning those faulty issues to us. We really need those in hand. Fair enough? Rich

Add mine to the problem list.
I was sitting on the couch leafing through it and all of a sudden, deja vu all over again...

I've got the same problem
Went directly to the Guns of the Lawman article and that's when I realized there was a problem with the mag. Just for gee whiz and in direst contrast to what Clint Smith wrote according to Rick Bachman of http://www.oldwestreproductions.com/ (he has an extensive if not the single largest old west leather collection and he makes authentic reproductions of holsters & such) the leather tie down you see on western holsters is/was a hollywood invention and never used by old west law dogs. This is what he was telling me when we were conversing about him bulding my CAS rig as I wanted a authentic period rig.Lawman Holster as a example. |

The problem appears to have been with the bindery at Brown Printing. Several hundred copies were affected in the early portion of the print run. These issues show missing and duplicate pages between page 21 and 29. We're set to replace defective copies immediately. And we've decided to offer a TWO MONTH EXTENSION to everyone who notifies us of a defective copy via the link below by Friday August 30. After that date, we'll still be offering Replacement Plus One Free Issue. In order to expedite a replacement issue, we ask that you fill out a simple web form for us: http://www.swatmagazine.com/misc/october.cgi (Have your October issue handy, as you’ll need your Subscriber Number, located on the mailing label.) We apologize for this inconvenience and truly appreciate your assistance in helping us to track down the source of the problem. Best Regards from all of us at TEAM S.W.A.T. Rich Lucibella Publisher Mail all defective copies to: S.W.A.T. Magazine 568 East Woolbright Road Suite 107 Boynton Beach, FL 33435

My copy has pgs 21-24 and pgs 57-60 inserted twice, while pgs 25-28 and pgs 53-56 are missing. I'll be filling out the form, and returning the magazine as requested, Rich.
For those who are also affected by this, Here's how to find your subscriber number: At the top of your address label is a line of asterisks. Directly beneath that line is a ten digit number between two pound signs. (#) This ten digit number is your subsciber number. |

Bought one off newstand today. No problems except someone put this gun rag bright orange ball of flame on the front cover. How did that get there?

The Friday Deadline has passed and thanks to all who filled out the Contact Form, we have a good handle on the problem. Everyone who filled out that form will receive a Two Month Extension and a replacement issue.
As stated above, from here forward, we'll be offering a Replacement and One Month extension. Thanks for all the help. Rich Lucibella
