IMR4227 Subsonic 300BLK
hey fold, I only use h110 for the 220-230gr bullets on my semiauto 300blk. I have been looking for months and have come up dry. I always had to go a grain over with the 110 to get it to cycle 100%, which is fine because I am not concerned with subsonic speeds. So I bought a couple pounds of 4227 today in hopes to find the same reliability with it. Has anyone ever tried this powder? I am shooting powdercoated lee 230's out of 8" barrel. The data like all others only give you the max to stay under 1100 fps with very low pressures(37kpsi), unforti that usually results in spotty reliability and random bolt lock back. So if anyone has any experience or quikload, could you tell me if I would be okay running 12g of 4227 with oalk of 2.220 in a 8" barrel, at platform. Thanks for any input

well, if anyome was curious, I must say that 4227 is a fantastic 300blk powder. cylces my subs with complet lockback on an 8" bbl with 10.8gr. very clean, very accurate and stays subsonic with flawless function. also loaded up 155gr a-max with 17.4gr and is also a very accurate load, although they kick like MMA fighter
