Finally signing up for a class with Mas Ayoob
Massad Ayoob is scheduled to give a class in Southern AZ in May. That is 4 hours from Las Cruces. I think I have another fellow talked in to it also. This was on THR US.
The contact is a gunstore called Trail Boss in Sierra Vista. |

Mas is one heck of an Instructor.
The best money I've spent on "gun stuff" over the years has been Mas' class. I hope to attend another class or two in the future. Biker |

I agree with BikerRN. Taking a class from Mas is a great idea and an excellent way to spend your time and money.

My fellow Granite Stater is doing well for a guy from small town Hooksett, Ayoob is also an excellent shooter. I miss seeing him at the Concord N.H.gunshow

Ayoob is a big part of the puzzle.
From SouthNarc I've learned how to deal with people on the street BEFORE ANYTHING GOES DOWN. From the people in Krav Maga, Taekwondo, and Tom Givins, Southnarc, Ray Chapman, Ayoob, and other instructors I've been to, what to do WHEN THINGS GO DOWN. And from Ayoob what to do AFTER THINGS GO DOWN! I could actually add Ayoob to the first part since he has alot on how to conduct yourself but SN just had so much more info on actually encountering others. And it all fits together nicely. So again, Ayoob is a big part of it.

I find Ayoob's column in "Combat Handgunner" to be more relevent to most applications. The "American Handgunner" columns are better as limited case studies, IMO.
You can learn something from both, it's just that I find the "Combat Handguns" version easier to learn from and more straightforward. Biker |
