Question on IDPA rules

I have a glock 35 with a few things done to it and i want to start shooting IDPA as far as i can tell in the rules my stainless steal guild rod is ok but the guys that run the match are not sure because it is a full length guild rod and metal instead of plastic. I am going for enhanced service pistol an the only thing i can find is that i can't have a oversized mag release. can anyone shead a little light on this for me?

Isn't the factory guide rod 1 piece? The rule book states it must be the same material type.

A steel guide rod in place of factory plastic will put you in ESP.
A tungsten or brass guide rod would not be allowed at all.

right it cannot be used in stock but i want to shoot ESP and on page 22 number 11 it says full length no heavier than steel guild rods

the problem is one of the guys at the range say that a full length is the stock length. and the other says the guild rod can't stick out

I'm not sure what you mean by it sticking out but a lot of people use steel guide rods in their Glocks. It just puts you in ESP.

I have the extended guild rod. so if you put it in a 22 it would stick out the front of the pistol but not in a glock 35
