In-Trunk Rifle Holder?

Hi, All.

Due to my Galant going to the Great Parking Lot in the Sky, I'm now the proud owner of a '98 Nissan Maxima (low miles, too!)

This is the first really nice car I've ever owned, but aside from that, it has a big trunk.

While I was crawling around the thing today, looking at it from different angles, figuring out where my pistol safe will fit, and so on, I realized that there is enough room to mount a rifle under the rear window shelf, inside the trunk.

Anyone know of any pre-made in-trunk rifle mounts, or of a homebrew way of building such?

I had a rack in my work truck that went up on the roof. It was all but invisible from outside. It was the quietest rack I've ever used. I think it was made by or called Big Sky Racks. I got it from Cabelas. I believe they make a single version. The rifle slips into foam pads shaped like a "u" and secures with velcro. Would definately work on the trunk lid, the rear deck may need some renforcement. If I find their addy, I'll post it.

Thanks for the pointer. Looks like what I need

They have several mounting options, one for "any flat surface" which should do fine.
