Help finding trainng...

I have been looking for classes or seminars in my area but cannot find any. I have been shooting guns in general since I was 6 or 7, handguns not so long. I am looking at picking up a S.F.A. Trp 1911 within the next couple of months and am looking for a place to learn and practice. I am planning on joining a league because practice makes perfect, but I would also like to get into a class or something because I want to make sure my technique?? is good. I live in Milwaukee, WI. I see that there are some classes in IL. but am looking for some a bit closer. Any help on where to search or if you guys have heard of any. Thanks
