I picked up a Colt Commander that has a Millett S-100 adjustable rear sight milled into the slide. The sight blade is a "V" with a fiber optic front sight. Are there any other types of rear sights that would fit the milled slide in place of the Millett ?
Thanks. |

Sconn, even though the descriptions I've read of the method to make or measure the cuts for the sights are different for the Millet and the Bo-mars I believe the Bo-mar could work. I have a slide on hand that has I milled for a Bo-Mar/Pachmayr melded installation and the end result appears to be the same for both sights. It would be worth looking at anyway. George

Thanks George, I will give it a try. The current sight blade on the Millett is a shallow V and is not a very good bullseye sight.

Rather than go to the trouble--and EXPENSE--of replacing the whole rear sight unit, why not replace the Millett BLADE??? Available from Brownell's, not too terribly challenging to replace...and MUCH less expensive!!!....mikey357

I'll give Brownells a call and give the new blade a try first. Thanks, Steve
