I know how to simply type in the URL using the http://yadadyadayada. But I see others using a description of the link instead of the URL. In example one member uses 1911 Forum in his signature as opposed to the actual URL.
What I want to do is change my signature and include a link to the thread about the TFL meet this August. But rather than place the link as http://thefiringlineyadaydayada I want it to say something like TFL End of Summer Meet etc., to draw more members to the thread. (I know a stroke of brillinace on my part. ) However I have no idea how to change it to the langauge I want. ------------------ Gunslinger We live in a time in which attitudes and deeds once respected as courageous and honorable are now scorned as being antiquated and subversive. |

Gunslinger - Click on the "faq" button above. Go to "Can I add HTML...". Click on the "listed here" link in the first paragraph. That should tell you everything you want to know.
I can't add the direct links to these pages since they will change when the TFL link name is finally resolved. |

Thank you Mal. But being the country boy that I am I still could not figure out how to change the link to my wording.
I'll give this a try and see how it looks. ------------------ Gunslinger TFL End of Summer Meet http://204.235.96.21:8080/forums/sho...threadid=46061 August 12&13, 2000 |

Is this what you want it to look like?
TFL End of Summer MeetAugust 12&13, 2000 This is how it appears when you are typing it, except instead of a '{' and a '}' you should use a '[' and a ']' {url=http://204.235.96.21:8080/forums/showthread.php?threadid=46061}TFL End of Summer Meet{/url}August 12&13, 2000 If that doesn't clear it up for you, click on the icon that says edit/delete this post here on my post and look at how I did it. Good Luck. |

Geez, I finally figured it out. Well, actually I have a confession to make. I really didn't figure it out. Terridarri typed it in for me after my initial failed attempt.
Thanks again Bluesman. ------------------ Gunslinger TFL End of Summer MeetAugust 12& 13, 2000 |

Sensop, I would put the dogs on him but slowpoke_rodrigos and Fal308 is here and had to put the dogs out so they wouldn't eat our company, nothing like sitting and listening to man talk all night. LOL They are taking me to the range tomorrow, I will have to show them up. LOL
