Rules, Please Read Carefully

Ohio’s Ultimate
Steel Plate Pistol Match
October 13, 2007

1. This is a one-gun match. We believe time will not permit shooting 2 different guns in the match.

2. Gun Safety, all guns must be empty while on the range. Magazine wells must be visibly empty. Guns must be holstered at all times on the range. Gun handling in designated Safe-Area’s only. CCW permit holders must empty guns at their car on arrival to the range. Any infraction of this rule will get you immediate DQ and leave the Range.

3. Accidental Discharge. Any AD of a firearm closer then six (6) feet of the shooter. Is an automatic DQ from the match.

4. Drawing of a Firearm. Should any contestant feel unsafe in drawing their gun from a holster, may shoot the stages of fire from the Low Ready. They will incur a 1.5 second penalty, to keep everyone on a level playing field.

5. Magazines. Shooters are asked to come to the match with at least 4 magazines. We won’t have time to wait for you to load up.

6. All Steel Must Be Hit. Any steel plate target not hit in a course of fire will receive a 5 sec. Penalty added to your time.

7. Lost Brass Match. Shooters must understand this is a lost brass match.

8. Reloads. Most stages of fire will require shooters to reload.. High Cap Magazines are allowed only 15 rounds per Magazine.

9. Attitude. Leave your attitude at home. Shooting is a fun sport. Lets all strive to keep it that way. Treat everyone with respect. Watch your language. Women and maybe children will be present. Plus it doesn’t look or sound good on video.

10. All shooters must read and agree to the rules of this match, and will sign a statement at the Range stating that you have read and agree to the rules. Stay Safe and Lets All Have Fun.

Attention Shooters: The Ultimate Steel Plate Match is fast approaching. Several shooters have taken advantage of the Early Bird Special of $40 to shoot the match. We are still a long way off of what we need to make this match happen. Please send your entry forms in soon, or we will have to refund the money to those who sent it in.

come on guts where else are you going to shoot 250 steel plates

Your match sounds interesting and the fee is reasonable. I would not mind shooting a match like this but as I am not as young as I use to be and my eyes are not what they were, I prefer to shoot with a red dot sight and your match is limited to iron sights. Have you considered having an open division. This might raise attendence.
