They are a good carry gun, very compact...the biggest downfall I find about it is the trigger. I think it has the worst double action I've ever felt. It doesn't help that I own a SW revolver, but some time will make it a little better and you can go over to the KTOG.org and find some more tips to make it better.

I won't give my P11 up. It's slim and holds 10+1. Definitely my 'deep concealment' piece when discretion is called for.

Yup, trigger is horrible. Oh well. I think KelTec came out with a new version with better trigger.

How about 12 + 1 rds!

I've been carrying mine for over 5 yrs. Recently got a Kel-Tek factory 12 round mag, and it works great.

Great carry gun. Over 400 rounds without any failures. Mine is in my front pocket right now. I bought a couple of 12 round flush fitting magazines from Kel-Tec for mine. S&W model 59, 15 round magazines also fit and work fine. A lot of firepower in a small, light package.

front pocket carry?

What type of pants do you wear most often that conceals and allows a smooth draw with your p11? I am waiting for the pf 9 to come out, but I might go for the p11 if it hides well in the pocket of a pair of jeans.

With the right holster, Rangler jeans from Walmart work fine.

PF-9 is about 1/4 inch longer than the P 11, and only 1/8 inch narrower. Same height for both guns. Going to be hard to tell the difference in a pocket. I'm wondering why the PF-7, but seems like the entire gun world has been on edge waiting for it to come out.

waiting on the pf 9 and a few extra bucks to buy it with, but sooner or later I will own one unless the reviews show it not to be reliable, my p38 is a great "always with me" ccw, if the pf9 reviews are good, then I will spring for one when I can...

I wear "docker" style pants and golf shirts for work and the p-11 rides in my front pocket all the time. hides very well, but dark colours and pleats help with concealment. Practice a few hundred rounds to get used to the trigger, as the long pull and heavy spring will take a bit to get used to. It is hard to keep on target when the trigger breaks and you may have a tendency to shoot low and right for a bit. Mine needs a combat sight picture (cover the bulls eye with the front sight instead of having the bulls eye on top of the front sight.) I have around 750 rounds through mine, mostly winchester white box, but also enough hydra-shock to know it will feed reliably. Have yet to have a failure of any type. Please use a pocket holster that covers the trigger as there is no external safety. I use an uncle mikes currently, but have sent a pattern to my Dad so he can make a good leather one for me. Check out http://ktog.org and read the forum there for lots of good information. Most of all, congratulations on you're new pistol and shoot safe.
