Uncut Webley Mk VI Pricing?
Do any of you fine folks know what an uncut .455 Webley Mk VI in good, but not great condition (70%+ original finish) goes for these days? Even a ballpark estimate would be helpful.

$250?
Not in my neck of the woods! Even cut Mk VIs are going for FAR more than that. And the last two uncut ones? Both had tags with $750+ on them.

I would buy uncut Mk VI's for $250 all day long. The price Mike mentions might be a bit high, as that was an asking price, but $650 at least.

Not here in Northern Virginia, Jim.
And I have not seen one under 400 in probably 20 years.

JMO, but anyone willing to pay that much for a 70% gun should spend the money on a shrink.

$400 out here, and they're not here. Buy it and enjoy it, they are great guns, low recoil, and tough as nails. Ammo is available from Fiocchi via Grafs and not expensive. Save your brass.
I have two of these, one .455, the other .45 ACP. I'll retrofit the latter to the original cartridge when I can find a cylinder. The Webley is an iconic firearm, you won't be sorry. |

Even the higher end estimates here are a lot less than they are asking. Horribly overpriced, as I had sort of suspected. Too bad.

Condition is very important but in my AO, cut runs about $250 and uncut $400. I've owned maybe a dozen over the years from $20 to $250. East coast prices are a lot higher and it's reflected on Gunbroker.

Well crap, if you come across a nice uncut Mk VI for that money, let me know the contact information and I'll take steps to give it a good home here in the East.

Well, here's what a superb example just went for at auction....

That is a nice one, but $3000!!! Wow!
There seems to be growing interest in those British revolvers. Last year I paid $900 for a Mk I early production with the holster guides and recoil shield milled as part of the frame. It is at least 98%. Jim |

Me, I'd pay $700 for a gem, even push $900, but at $3,000 the correct term is 'gobsmacked', or something like it.
I've never seen one as nice, though, maybe the buyer knows more than we do. Auction fever comes to mind, as well. |

Mine, from a bunch of years back was $800 ... and more than happy to be able to get it at that price!
