What cal on the 70? 30-06 I would guess.
The 1897 is a 12 g I suppose? There was a model 1893 that looks similar but its rarely seen today. I don't have a pic but... I have a 1822 French cal pistol A Colt 1849 from 1853 A S&W 1st mod 1st issue 3rd type from approx 1858 or so. What does that total? Over 300 me thinks. None of them are used today since I could not find a scope mount for the Colt, the French pistol I tried to have re-chambered to make a 410 shotgun (not successful) and the S&W I shot 22 high velocities in and the cylinder burst. Oh well, I tried to use them
