sears shotgun shells
I have a box of sears 20 gauge shotguns shells. I have no clue how old they are. They shells is made out of cardboard. Approximately how old would these be? when did they stop making shells out of cardboard and when did sear stop selling them? It says its a sporting load and uses smokeless powder and is noncorrosive.

Can you post a pic of a shell's head markings. It will make ID much easier.
FYI: Federal still makes paper shot shells. |

head stamp reads "RED HEAD no 20 long range" the hull reads "maximum" in cursive leaders then below is "2 3/4-1 LOAD"

It's a pretty safe bet that Winchester made them. They made a lot of shells for Sears. I may have a few Sears Buckshot shells around somewhere.
