D+ for LA Police Gear.com

Howdy, just a heads up for anyone that is ordering shooting gear and needs it in a timely fashion for shooting, training, or just plain clothing needs: avoid ordering from LA Police Gear.com. They have some great advertised prices, then add some decent promo-code things every now and again, but it's taking forever to ship. What did I order?

3 pairs of BDU pants, 1 pair of gloves, and 2 mag holders. It's not like this order is extremely weird, large, nor are these specialty items. They have it advertised as "in stock", but 4 of my items are still on backorder almost a month later.

Maybe it is the time of the year (holiday rush) because I have ordered from them several times and experienced good service.

Were none of the items marked BACKORDERED at the time you placed your order? The site seems pretty good about indicating what's in stock and what isn't. As Mick3411 remarked, it may be just the wrong time of year for the suppliers to catch up with their back orders. I shop at one manufacturer's site where six weeks is a normal delivery, and they make the stuff.

I've used them for 95% of my duty gear orders throughout the past 6yrs and never had a problem.

NOTHING I ordered was marked "Backordered" at that time, which was not the actual case it turns out: "in transit" to their warehouse is how they word it now?

You guys may have had a different experience but it seems they are under new management ideas.

I ordered the first week in December when they were NOT having a promo or sale going on. It's rediculous in my opinion.

Pretty basic principle for sales: If you do not have an item to sell the customer you don't advertise it, process an order and credit card, THEN send an e-mail 5 days later saying there's no merchandise.

If you're looking for gear that you actually NEED to use, look to order elsewhere.

I too have had good luck here. When I order on-line, I specify not to back order if out of stock.

Everything I ordered was supposedly in stock, according to their computers, at the time of ordering online.

Still no shipment and their "status" page for checking your orders is NO GO as well.

Goofiest way to run a business.

I have had the same issue with sale items. Most of the time I will receive an e-mail letting me know they are out of stock and waiting for an item.

Going on 2 months now. No order and the "status" page still does not
recognize what has been compiled, and what is being waited for.
