I loved the 2022 that I owned. The only reason I got rid of it was I replaced it with a Sig p229. I have no experience with the CZ though so I can't give you an opinion on it.

The Sig. The only reason it's that cheap is that they got such a huge order from France there is great economy of scale.

Between the two the SIG SP2022 no question. One of the most reliable, durable, great trigger and accurate poly framed hammer fired pistols you can get regardless of price.
Definitetly a proven design and there are a gazillion of them in use throughout the word. The French bought a QUARTER MILLION of them from SIG and is why we can purchase them at such a rediculously low price as the R&D and capitalization costs have been paid for the SIG Pro a long time ago and SIG had actually discontinued the SP2022 but brought it back as a regular item due to the overwhelmingly postive response from those of us who snapped up the French contract overrun batch. |

Huh. . .I would have been looking at a Glock or XD. I guess I need to open my eyes more or something like that. . .
I'm not really a DA/SA guy either though. . .YMMV. A revolver would also be in my short list. You can get some S&W's used for under $400 in truck gun shape. Like a 13 or 65. . . |

yeah. i'm a sig and cz guy, but those two are not true representations of their manufacturers usual quality. the sig is still a fine weapon. nowhere near as fine as the p22x series, but you're not paying the same price tag either. the cz i would just plain stay away from. i owned one for a couple of weeks. it didn't have any malfunctions, but its build quality did not inspire confidence.

I traded my Sig SP2022 for a Ruger SR40.
I wanted a .40 caliber but had no money so I traded the only thing of value I had. Now I have the .40 cal and one other 9mm, the Ruger P95. In the end, the Sig was good but it was still a 9mm. Oh well, I'll pick up another one some day. |

The 2022. I shoot accurately with it and The trigger is the best on any polymer i have ever shot. Also makes me feel like I wasted money when I bought my 226
