Scope mount to Savage Axis
I have been looking at all the options for mounting a scope to my new .308 Savage. What do you guys think about adding a picatinny rail vs. the two rings?
I was just curious on opinions and why or why not do it. |

The rail (with a built in 20MOA cant) would be the most versatile option. It gives you the abililty to go to long distance shooting and attach an unlimited number of quick attach accessories (or just standard rings).
A one piece base/ring combo is less versatile, but may be a more sturdy mount. |
