model 1100

picked up a model 1100 remington 20 ga. the gun has some rust on the barrel but other wise in good shape. it is a full choke and appears to be an older model. i was wondering what the value would be and if i should invest the money to re-blue it.

Older 20 gauge 1100s may be built on the standard receiver, same as the 16 and 12 gauges. Newer ones use the LW receiver and run lighter.

Skeet shooters love the old 1100s in sub gauges. If it runs OK I'd clean it up and use it as is.

Prices around here start around $250 to 350.

HTH....

1100

Thanks dave. Picked it up for $100.00, seems to be in great working order.
I believe I will invest some money in it and get it looking good again.
