Twice a month at least. Ammo is just recently getting in constant supply locally so I should be going more if my schedule allows.

About once a month or whenever I go to the range. I usually have my EDC with me anyway. At the very least I will run a few mags through it to make sure everything is still working, then clean it, rotate magazines and load fresh ammo.

The once or twice a year folks honestly concern me. Money and time are a bear I know. But you surely can't build skill at that frequency and I don't know how well you can maintain it either. Now I have 22LR pistols I shoot maybe a few times a year. But my carry gun?

Range Time With EDC

Well I've been remiss the past few weeks as the heat and humidity on the Tampa Bay area has been high and I belong to an outdoor range.
Usually I'm a weekly shooter and I bring my EDC at least one time in the month. I like shooting rifles much more than handguns.

Forty years ago it was every other week. Then it became once a month. Then every other month. Lately it's quarterly. tom.

Often I am a weekly shooter. Sometimes it becomes a bi-monthly shooter...but good thing that doesn't usually last long. I have enough guns that if I can shoot twice a month, or at the least once a month, it keeps me tuned and lets me shoot a wide variety. I carry a few different handguns, but the number 1 is the Kahr CM9, and I will shoot that every single time I go to the range, no matter what other guns I bring. At least a few mags with it.

My carry gun? Once or twice a year. Cleaned and lubed as needed. I shoot similar guns all the time, so I really see no need to shoot it.

Well, I think about it a lot. Kinda like mental dry firing. Do some actual dry firing. Not a lot of actual bang time going on unfortunately. I was actually a pretty good shot at one time. Maybe the skills will revive if needed. Apparently I'm betting on it.

Since I started reloading, I shoot once a week.
This is a combination of 22lr, 22WMR, 7mm-08, 7mm Rem Mag, 40S&W, 45ACP.

I'm usually putting at least 100 rounds down range.

Hmmm, I guess reloading isn't saving me money after all...

When I have a new carry gun, I shoot at least once a week until it is broken in and ready for service. Once break-in is complete, about once a month on average. A little more in the summer, a little less in the winter.

I make it to the range quite a bit, especially in good weather. I always do some handgun shooting, sometimes with my EDC and sometimes other handguns. I also practice out in the National Forest occasionally which gives me a bit more leeway in draw/fire exercises.

Every range trip,,,

I go at least one a week,,,
But more often than not it's twice.

Every range trip I fire one or two loads,,,
Usually I do some double taps,,,
Quick aim and fire stuff.

Range trips for me are very recreational in purpose,,,
I just don't waste a good opportunity to practice with my carry gun.

As often as my meager college student with a family budget allows. Usually about 100 rounds a month through the G19 and another 100 or so through my .22 ruger MKII.

About 4-5 times a year I shoot a few hundred rounds of trap and I shoot probably about 100 rounds a year from my hunting rifle. It is just so easy (relatively) to shoot a rifle well.

Lately my work has cut Overtime, so I haven't been out since June. I dry fire about 100 times every other night though. :/

I would go twice a week if I could.

2 to 3 times a week, however it's been slowed as I'm running low on reloading components. I do dry fire, and work a few reloads each day while getting dressed for work.

Not as much as I would like....
My answer as well. With working nights and putting my wife through nursing school, time and money are tight. Right now i go probably once a month, but i NEED to get out more.

Probably about 2 times a month. Wish it was more. Feeding my hobby is expensive.

About once a month for my carry. But I go to the ranger more often than that.

I put 50-200 rounds through my EDC 3-4 times per year. I plink more often with my .22's, but cannot afford to recreationally shoot 9 mm nearly as often.

Due to my job I am only able to get to the range once every 4 to 6 weeks or so but, when I go I'll easily shoot a minimum of 500 to 1000 rounds through my various pistols over the course of my week or so off. Most of those will be through my top 3 that I alternate carrying.

Due to my dilemma I simply dry fire daily (with snap caps of course) and, A LOT!

I practice with my CC (Kahr K9) once or twice a month with 1-2 mags of ammo.
Not much practice with my specific carry gun but I normally shoot my other guns with similar features.

There is no set schedule since going into Off Duty Status and retired, but, and there always is a but life, the less experienced you are the more frequently you should train ... not JUST shoot! Ammo availability and cost these days is the biggest restriction for you young shooters I am sure...

Every time I go to the range. For me, that means 4 or 5 times a year (if I'm lucky), usually putting 100-150 rounds, collectively, through everything that I take with me. Sometimes that's 1 gun, sometimes it's 5.

I carry a Kel-Tec P3AT 380 with 90 gr Gold Dots loaded to 1100 fps.
I never ever shoot it.

Then this antelope buck was not dead and the rifle was still in the truck, so I handed my 380 to the shooter to finish off the buck. The gun did not fire. It was full of pocket lint. I blew a huge ball of pocket lint out of the action. Plenty of pocket lint was still in there. I handed it back to him, and he shot the buck.

Now I am practicing, cleaning, and paying more attention to my carry pistol.
