What sort of options?
The GSG is the same pistol -- they make it for SIG. And then there's the Umarex USA Colt-branded 1911-ish pistols in .22LR.About equal to the GSG in both price and accuracy, so take your pick. For (quite) a bit more money there's also the Kimber Rimfire. |

Perhaps he he meant opinions?
Both the pistols Aguila recommended seem to be good for the price. I wouldn't recommend the Chiappa one that seems pretty ungood.

It's a fun pistol. Runs 100% with ammo it likes but mine simply does not like Winchester bulk ammo. Use the search feature and you will find some reviews in this forum.

I just picked up a Sig 1911-22 at Sportsman's Warehouse - $299.99. I haven't shot it yet but it is an impressive handgun. Price was right so didn't pass it up.

Be sure to keep some oil on the guide rod. Even though it's plastic, it can seize up and will lock up the gun solid. That happened to my GSG, and it was the only problem it gave me. I sold it to cover some car repairs.

Ridge Runner, you must have had an older model of GSG because they quit installing plastic guide rods a good while back.
