Need help / info with Cerakote.
Just ordered some new glass for my Kimber 8400 Advanced Tactical rifle.
The rifle itself sports the "Kimpro Flat Dark Earth" coating. I am looking to get the scope I ordered for it Cerakoted. I was wondering which color in Cerakote would come the closest to the one Kimber uses. It is also the same finish on their Desert Warrior pistol, Which I also own. Was hoping someone knew the guns and cerakote well enough to give an informed decision. |

To do a scope, you have to use their C-Series coating, as the H-Series has to be baked on differently.

Yes I understand that, and I understand the hardness differences. I am not doing the project myself I am sending it out to have done.
I am just looking for the best color to match the color Kimber uses on the 8440 Advanced Tactical and the Desert Warrior. |

I wouldn't know, and about the only way to match a color would be to experiment with it, or call Kimber, and see if they will tell you what their mix is.
