Silvery GOODNESS!!

A simple craigslist wanted post, has yielded me 500+ pounds of silvery goodness. I will pay 65 cents per lb. I offered the amount to the fella, well because its clean and processed lead. Its cast into front end weights for a pulling tractor. He said it was all made from wheel weights. I'm happy as a pig in slop! Looks like I need to start casting something other than pure pb. Hmm I think some .38 / .357 boolits are in order.

That's a good price these days. I pay that much for raw wheelweights scrounged from a blue barrel filled with Zn and Fe.

All I ever get from Craigslist want ads is crack pots and tree huggers. Congratulations on your score!

That's awesome! There is absolutely no local lead around here. NO SALES TO THE PUBLIC, the tire places and scrapyards all say. And all the plumbers have done long since cleaned out the back of the sheds and chicken houses of lead pipes for recycling.
