Have a person who wants to sell me a break top S&W, the last date on the
barrel is may 93
it has gone completely 'plum' and I think it is .38 S&W it is reasonably tight and
the catch seem ok, The rear sights are about 1/8in across and the front blade
is very thin
about how much is it worhth & What is it.

Also has a S&W mod 10 in .38 S&W marked Prop US Govt. with Ordenance
bomb and then stamped FR RFI 1968 ( I think that means Factory Repair Rifle
factory Isapore ) it is in so so shape cosmetically but good mech , no V prefix
on the butt

ANY help would be greatly appriciated, thank you

This is a good question for our resident historian. Look for it in Harley Nolden's forum...
