Good or bad trade!

Yesterday I traded a friend a 4 year old pietta 1858 Rem. 44, for a blue 1978 ruger single six with only the 22mag cylinder, 5 1/2 in barrel, adjustable sights, In overall good shape. I paid $219.99 + shipping for the pietta in 2009What do you all think?

By my measure, you did great. However, you did not state the condition of the Single-Six. Matters not as I still think you did real good ...

The single six shoots great. Lock up is good on all six chambers. Blue is about 95% with some holster wear. Has the "ruger lines" on the cylinder, but what old ruger doesn't. Here is a pic.

Good trade. But you knew that, you're just looking to brag about your new gun without looking boastful

I'd say you did very well! You can always catch those `58's on sale at Cabela's and the newer Pietta's are better anyway.

Yeah Buzzcook, your right, but sometimes you do things, and you say," did I do a good thing, or did I get stuck" I'm happy with my trade and my friend is also, so all worked out well.

Amen to that but there are times when the deal is so good, that you second guess yourself and wonder if you missed something. .....

Enjoy and;
