Shotguns to be outlawed in CO?
I just read this and it really surprises me. (well, nothing surprises me anymore).
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013...-firearms-law/ I always thought Colorado was pretty decent in regards to firearms. Basically the article states that a bill outlawing shotguns that can be adapted to hold more than eight shells has already passed the house. The governor says he is willing to sign it into law. It's getting worse and worse for gun owners. |

It's my understanding any shotgun that holds more than 8 rounds will be banned.

Not only 'holds', but "Is readily convertible to hold"...
From the linked article: “This is where shotgun shells go inside this tube here,” Brophy demonstrated. “You can screw this part off the top and screw on an extender to this tube to allow it to hold more than eight rounds. It is readily convertible, which by definition in the bill, makes the whole thing a high-capacity magazine…we just might not be able to legally purchase a pump shotgun or a semi-automatic shotgun.” That would ban a whole lotta shotguns... |

Do they define what size shell is used to determine a tubular magazine's capacity?
There's quite a difference between how many 3" Magnums or 1-3/4" Minishells you can load into the same gun. |
