Lee #2 shows 4.1 to 4.6 grains of Universal for a 135 grain lead bullet. Five grain lighter bullet won't make enough difference to matter.

I can find data for 125 and 135. Just wanted to make sure if I split the difference there wouldn't be a problem.

Roy, no data is exact. It's a guide. Even loading manuals disagree; sometimes a lot. Universal is a pretty flexible powder in the .38 Special pressure ranges. Using 125 grain data with a 130 grain cast bullet might run a standard load up into the lower +P pressures but no more than that.
You ain't never gonna make a .38 Special into a magnum so I tend to settle on a accurate load without chasing the last 100 fps. Somewhere between 4 and 4.5 grains of Universal should give you that without any need to get too particular about the details. |

Not chasing any speed. This is my first attempt at reloading and just wanted to be extra careful. I was firguring if I kept it between the 125-135 limits I would be ok. Just wanted to hear it from someone with experience.
