Walmart- Federal 9mm

Bad news for those that knew the lil secret (Federal 9mm 100 rounds for $19.xx).
I was at Walmart yesterday buying ammo, asked the manager who was familiar with the ammo, he said that 100 round box had been discontinued. The federal 50 round is $13.

Does anyone else know of a retailer that sells the 100 round federal boxes?

Wound up picking up 4x100 boxes of Winchester at 23.99 each and all the Tula .223 they had $4.97

Last time I bought .40s from walmart i got 100 round boxes for like $22. WWB. I have a feeling they were mis-priced.

I should have bought out the store! too bad. Hopefully its a local phenomenon.

Ammo prices are climbing steadily. I've been squirreling reloading components away a little at a time (a few thousand primers here, a few pounds of powder there, a couple thousand new- or once-fired brass here), so I feel I can weather whatever storms come our way.

Still laying in .22LR whenever I see a decent price on the good stuff.

It pays to reload; I just wish I had started sooner.

None of the Wal-Marts in my area ever had 100-round boxes of Federal to begin with, so it's no big loss to me. Honestly though, since finding out that my CZ-75 and S&W 1911 shoot Tula OK, I haven't been buying Federal range ammo lately anyway.

Even before the Federal 100rd boxes came out it was still cheaper to get 2 Federal 50rd boxes than one 100rd WWB.

I also have started reloading and love it. Using quality bullets, I still save a fair amount over the 100 round Federal boxes.

That said, recently I didn't know if I would have time to load up more rounds before a range trip so I while in Walmart I decided to pick up a box of the 100 rounds of Federal. I noticed that they not only did not have any on the shelf, but I didn't see a spot for it either. I'm not sure if it's everywhere or just this Walmart. I didn't worry too much about it and came home and loaded up soem rounds instead.

The 100 round box has always been a good deal, got two (100) round boxes of federal 55gr FMJ in 5.56MM the other day at walmart for super cheap.

I have looked into reloading and for 9MM it just doesn't add up. Maybe if I shot a lot of 45 or 308 but I dont.
