Is Konus a good scope?

I was wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences with Konus, or specifically a Konus M30 4.5-16X40? How does it stack up against Leupold or Bushnell?

Someone else just asked the same ? see if you can find it. I liked the one I had and my brother has a spotting scope that works pretty well.

Here it is.

Konus makes a pretty decent product at a reasonable price. I haven't used their rifle scopes but I have experience with their astronomical equipment. I would rate them above Bushnell. Leupold are probably better quality but at a premium price as well.

I might get beat up for this but a friend said the optics were comparable to the nightforce he has on his Alexander arms Grendel. i believe you can't beat them for the money.

Konus spotting scopes are a best buy.
I was not impressed by their rifle scopes shown at SHOT 2009.

Well, i have one just for practice, installed on a dummy gun i made, just to exercise my "steadiness" on distance.

Cost about 20 dollars and seems to be nice.

But i don't believe that the cheap lines will made a good job for shooting.

Maybe the more "expensive" line of Konus will made a better job, depending on scopes features.

I have tested a 180€ Scope of this brand in the store and was really nice.

Have in mind that the ones i saw and the one i have, where all made in P.R.C and i don't know the standards up there, in comparison with brands like Zeiss or US Optics.
