New rifle or pistol? Which to buy.
Lets start out by saying I have a handful of both. What do you think, a new pistol or another AR. The pistol in consideration has not been decided on but I have the opportunity to purchase a colt A2 type ar with multiple mags and ammo for 1k. Buy the rifle or another nice handgun?

I'm the worst guy to consult on buying guns. Get both! I'm a 1911 fan, a shotgun fan and a rifle guy. I have a soft spot for blondes and Sigs. I do own a Bushmaster AR15 but I'm not gaga over it, although the platform allows for a great number of modifications. If you know the owner and the AR he's selling and it's a good deal---go for it.
You can always save up and buy that pistol later once you know exactly what you want. |

If the AR is in good shape I'd go for that. More likely to be restrictions on buying or selling ARs than handguns.

That is about the best price your going to find an AR at the moment....
You could probably sell in it in a second for a good bit more than your paying for it. |

If you already have AR 15's, consider an AR 10 .308
I love mine. Reach out and touch something!!!! HARD!!!
