Pelican M6 LED on a Shotgun?

Pelican makes a remote switch so that you can use the M6 LED on a long gun. Has anyone tried this? How did it hold up? About the cheapest I can do a Streamlight TLR-1 with remote switch and a mount is $200. I can do the Pelican for under $100. This is strictly for home defense not for professional house clearing. It'll go on a Benelli M1 S90.

Thanks in advance.
